2010 was one hell of a year. I started some big things and took major steps into (hopefully) successful adulthood. I had a pretty sweet internship with people that I really enjoyed being around with goals and ideas. It was really inspirational and sorta kicked my ass into doing what I really enjoy. I still have my junky job at the call center, but as long as I stay on track I can get out of there ASAP. In the last two weeks of 2010 I purchased my first car; a Chevrolet Aveo Hatchback LT 4 cylinder 1.6 liter engine vehicle. His name is Finnley and he burns rubber. If anyone happens to see a bright blue car zipping around Austin, that's me.
I realized that art is the only thing out there that's really going to make me happy, and I'm lucky to have the support of my friends, family members, and spouse (even though he
is colorblind, haha) to push me forward. I think about it all day, it's the last thing I do before bed, and the first thing I do when I get up. For 2011 I plan to rededicate my life to it and make a genuine effort. I've already started out strong, let's hope it holds and there's no distractions. In spring there will be big changes, so I want my goals to be concrete with direction.
I know everyone makes resolutions, but I typically hold true to mine. They're not full of mumbo-jumbo like "be a better person," (I'm fine with who I am), so here goes;

Draw every day

Finish projects in a timely manner

Use the tools I have to be successful

Seek out new opportunities for growth

Never back down just because an idea seems silly. There's a way to accomplish any idea

Hone my publications skills so I can actively use them

Maybe post more - no promises

Actually produce something out of my sketches (ties in with finishing projects)
